LifeSketch Media Inc. is dedicated to making documentary films and scripted media content that brings under-represented perspectives to a wide audience. We believe in the power of film to help build equitable and inclusive communities.
Our films have screened worldwide at some of the best film festivals such as Hot Docs, DOXA, Global Visions, Women’s Voices Now, Durban International, and Finger Lakes Environmental film festival. We have won awards and nominations from industry associations as well as arts organizations. Our content has been used in educational settings and shared widely on social-media. 3 Seconds Divorce, our latest documentary premiered in International Competition Section at Mumbai International Film Festival this year. It is scheduled for a European broadcast premiere on ORF and has been recently acquired by France based distributor JAVA films.

Shazia Javed
Shazia Javed is an award-winning film Producer and Director. She has directed with the National Film Board and her work has screened at prestigious film-festivals such as Hot Docs, DOXA, Durban International and MIFF. Her latest documentary, 3 Seconds Divorce made its broadcast premiere on ORF and has been acquired by a leading distributor. Shazia actively engages with her local community through her work and has taught various workshops on film making. She has a MFA in Film from York University.
